Liberty Art Fabrics from London

Latest excitement, we will now be able to offer our clients direct from London, where the latest fashions sit alongside design classics, the Liberty Art Fabrics full range of upholstery fabrics and wallpapers.

The globally recognised company is a leader in print design and textile innovation, creating unique and original designs for over 130 years and is renowned for their fine detail, intricate pattern and original colour palates.

Kirstie Carey, the managing director of Liberty Art Fabrics’ designs, worked closely with head of design Emma Mawston in 2012 when the opportunity arose to bring the home furnishing collection back in house from licensee Osborne and Little. Collaboration took place to create a vibrant new range of fabrics, wallpapers and prints which were launched at last years London design Festival.

The vibrant new range draws inspiration from the iconic motifs including the Tana Lawn Florals, Liberty’s signature 1880s peacock feathers with newer prints inspired by country house gardens in France and the UK. The new range of beautiful designs have been translated onto a range of the most premium – quality fabrics suitable for drapery, upholstery and accessories including cotton, satin, linen and velvet.

This collection is now distributed to designers, interior decorators and retailers with the Heritage collection and Jubilee collection, launched at Maison and Object in Paris this January.

Morris was motivated by the desire to provide affordable ‘art for all’ and driven by his boundless enthusiasm, the output of the company was prolific.
