How To Lay Your Underlay 

To help your rug and underlay sit correctly, we recommend the following steps:

1. Re-roll the rug and set it aside.
2. Lift the underlay and thoroughly vacuum or clean the floor beneath it.
3. Turn the underlay over (face up) and rotate it 180 degrees (end for end).
4. Ensure the underlay is completely unfolded and lying perfectly flat, with no creases or folded sections.
5. Smooth out any trapped air pockets and position the underlay exactly where you would like the rug to sit. Using a tape measure and a small amount of masking tape to mark the correct position can help achieve an accurate placement.
6. Carefully position the rug so it is square on the underlay, leaving approximately 3–5 cm of underlay inset from each edge of the rug. You may need to lift and reposition the rug a couple of times to achieve the correct alignment.
7. We recommend that two people carry out this step to make positioning easier and to avoid wrinkling or moving the underlay underneath the rug.
