English Heritage Piccadilly Park Woodland Wallpaper

Piccadilly Park is drawn from a wallpaper fragment removed from 29 Sackville Street in 1990, a bold, Jacobean-feeling block print dating to around 1730, from an area of London once attractive to minor nobility before the tailoring trade took hold in the early nineteenth century.

Designers Guild's studio reworked the original completely, repainting just the leaves alone in a softer, more flowing scale, so the result reads as a gentle foliage pattern rather than the bold, statement florals of the historic fragment.

The delicacy of the leaves is enhanced by gravure printing onto a smooth non-woven ground. Shown here in the Woodland colourway, with three further options available.

Its soft, painterly foliage suits a bedroom, hallway or living room particularly well, working as a full room or a gentle feature wall.
