Carlisle Fauna wallpaper is drawn directly from the English Heritage archive, a mid-scale floral originally found as a single tonal colour block print, arranged in a panelled form edged with vertical stripes. Designers Guild's studio reworked the original into a genuine all-over pattern, rendered here in multiple colour tones rather than the single tone of the historic fragment.

The block-printed style keeps a slightly irregular, hand-crafted quality to the flowers and leaves, closer to a genuine archival textile than a smooth, modern floral print. Traditionally surface printed onto a heavyweight non-woven ground.

Available in five colourways: Plaster, Duck Egg, Woad, Forest, and Woodland, running from soft and pale through to deep, saturated tones.
