The palette runs through jewel tones of emerald, sapphire and ruby, with metallic gold picked out along book spines and glassware detailing, so the whole design catches the light rather than sitting flat.

It's a close relation to Cole & Son's Ex Libris design, both drawn from Fornasetti's own fascination with books, though Libreria pushes further into colour and ornament. Suited to a study, library, or any room that could use a wall's worth of stories.
