Bee Jug Pitcher La Rochere France

This jug carries the same Napoleonic bee that decorates the wider La Rochère Bee collection, a motif drawn from a pattern that belonged to Napoleon himself, who chose the bee as the emblem of his reign.

La Rochère has been making glass in the same corner of France since 1475, making it the oldest continuously operating glass factory in the country. Each piece is pressed rather than blown, leaving a faint mould seam that's a mark of genuine craftsmanship rather than a flaw.

At a full litre, this jug is a practical, everyday piece as much as a decorative one, equally suited to water, juice or a jug of something stronger, and it pairs naturally with the matching Bee wine, champagne and tumbler glasses for a complete table setting.

Features:

  • Bee motif drawn from a pattern that belonged to Napoleon

  • Pairs with matching Bee wine glasses, champagne flutes and tumblers
