Interior Design Trends 2015

February 25, 2015

Our Home is our sanctuary, it’s an escape from our high tech and hectic lives. It offers us comfort, visual beauty and is the place we choose to spend the time with others.

2015 trends continue to bestow a touch of glamour, with diverse colour ever so prevalent involving the full spectrum of hues. Gentle colours and muted pastels to begin the year, emerging into vibrant jewel colours. Rich blues are paired back with neutrals to create a contemporary yet glamorous look. White through to tan is also emerging in leather, dare we say brown.

In terms of texture and pattern florals are still present, although with the addition to other geometric patterns. Other textures including bold knits and weaves are present on digitally printed fabrics, with hides and fur also popular options. Moroccan patterns continue but we adore the return of the stand out bold stripe. Christian LaCroix has a beautiful range of new fabrics with the incorporation of these elements.

The industrial revolution continues with metallic finishes bringing glamour and sparkle to interior design. The bar cart has returned, offering simple elegance with the added practicality.
Of course, marble, stone and ceramic is ever prevalent; the innovation in these products is bringing some wonderful choices. White marble is the most luxurious stone that defines one of the most classy interior trends for 2015. Introduce this look through marble serving boards, stone pots and ceramic topped tables.
